SOLO EXHIBITION, CONSULATE GENERAL OF ARMENIA IN LOS ANGELES

On May 8, 2018, the Consulate General of Armenia in LA hosted the exhibition of works by artist Armen Daneghyan. Dozens of artworks have been presented to the LA audience.

In her opening speech, Consul Armella Shakaryan underscored the value of Armen Daneghyan’s art in terms of presenting Armenian culture beyond the borders of Armenia. She awarded the artist with the certificate on behalf of the Consulate General for his contribution to the dissemination of Armenian art and culture. 

During the evening, Armen Daneghyan also received acknowledgments from California State Senator Anthony Portantino and California State Assembly Member Adrin Nazarian.

The exhibition was held at the Zorayan Museum on March 9 and 10, featuring the 30 miniature paintings by Armen Daneghyan. The exhibition was organized by the Zorayan Museum Committee, after months of planning and preparation. Welcome remarks were made by Mr. Hayk Madoyan, a member of the Committee, who highlighted the contribution of the Armenians in the field of global art. 

The artist thanked the Primate for the opportunity to show his inner world through miniature art. Archbishop Hovnan Derderian congratulated the artist and wished him continued success in his artistic endeavors. His Eminence also expressed gratitude to the Zorayan Museum Committee for their dedicated service in promoting Armenian art.

BULGARIA, SOFIA, 2014, February 11

“Lord’s prayer”,“ Heaven’s door”, “St Mesrop Mashtots”, “Sayat Nova”, “ Armenian Alphabet”… Nearly 30 artworks by Armen Daneghyan were exhibited at Sofia Ethnographic Museum for 1 month.

The exhibition was organized by Sonia Avakian with joint support of the Institute of Ethnology and Folklore Studies, Ethnographic Museum at BAS and Armenian General Benevolent Union ” Paregordzagan” Sofia.

The event was of a charitable nature and part of the funds raised from the purchase of artworks were directed to buy equipment for a distance learning Armenian language classroom at the Sofia Sunday School, which operates under the auspices of the Sofia AGBU Paregordzagan.

ARMENIA, SEVAN, 2011

On September 11, 2011, the Armenian Apostolic church celebrated the holiday of Khachverats. The Vaskenian Theological Academy invited a number of talented and famous artists to take part in the celebrations.

One of the distinguished guests was artist Armen Daneghyan, who donated one of his artworks to Vaskenian Theological Academy. Father Shnork Sargsyan thanked the artist and wished him success.

IRAN, ISPAHAN, 2008, FEBRUARY 1

30 artworks were displayed during the exhibition was organized by the Embassy of Armenia in Iran.

During the ceremony, the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia in Iran Karen Nazaryan, the primate of Ispahan, archbishop Babgen Charian, Armenian and Iranian art professionals delivered speeches. The exhibition lasted for 20 days.

The organizer of the solo exhibition was Christopher Grayson, representative of The Arts Club of the Council of Europe.

The exhibition was supported by the Permanent Representative of Armenia to the Council of Europe.

The Ambassador of The Republic of Armenia to the Council of Europe Cristian Ter-Stepanyan and other officials delivered speeches at the opening ceremony. Many diplomats, artists and art lovers were also present.

The exhibition was organized by His Holiness Karekin II. Vatche Hovsepian, the Archbishop of the Western Diocese of North America delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the exhibition.

The Minister of Culture of Armenia attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.

This was the first solo exhibition of the artist. The event was organized by Archbishop Garegin, who is the current Catholicos of All Armenians and the supreme leader of the Armenian Apostolic Church,

All 33 artworks were painted on wood and were on religious topics.
